MGMAT Question banks worth it?

Question

Are the MGMAT question banks worth the money? There are 8 of them I think for different Quant and Verbal topics.
I want the extra practice but it's expensive so just wondering what people reccomend.

Compared to what? I think the gmatclub challenges and then Jeff Sackmann's question banks were the most useful to me (plus OG). I had access to the MGMAT questions and didn't find them that useful--I mostly used their CATs

Do you own the MGMAT books? If so, they have 25 extra questions for free.

if you need extra practice beyond the OG, then they're useful. otherwise, OG should keep you plenty occupied.

only issue I found is that it felt like the first 1/3 to 1/2 of the questions in OG were not that challenging...I would like a resource that provides more challenging questions.

I felt challenging questions were the key the first time through. I did a lot of the questions here and CAT after CAT. That regimen produced a Q39.

The second attempt, I just relaxed and did all of OG and Jeff Sackmann's GMAT Math Bible... much less challenging, but I went up to a Q48. Either I botched the first time badly, or repetition at level worked better for me than stretching above level.

building up incrementally from basics all the way up is the best.

I personally tried to use the question bank, but I found it useless unless you are already scoring in 650-700 level and want to take your score to 700+ level.

The question banks are made of questions that are quite difficult. Therefore, if you need to start from the fundamentals, avoid the question bank and use easier problems in OG to comfortably reach 650-700 level first.

Are the MGMAT question bank similar to the questions that are found at the end of every chapter of the MGMAT strategy guides? At what level would you rate these end-of-chapter questions??

Even MGMAT's own in-class instructor told me that those end of the chapter questions are not that valuable since they are nothing like the actual GMAT exam questions. Those questions are just good exercise to help you understand the concept in each chapter.

The question bank questions are similar to GMAT exam questions but slightly more difficult, in my opinion.
