here is a nice simple way to add hours and minutes together
lets add 1hr & 35 mins and 3 hrs & 55mins together
how to do it simple
Take these two times as simple natural numbers like 135 and 355
Add them
we get 135 + 355 = 490
Now add a constant number 40 to it:
we get 490+ 40 = 530
so the time is 5 hrs and 30 mins simple....
Amazing but it always works:
lets add 1hr & 35 mins and 3 hrs & 55mins together

Does this work only in an Hour + Min format? What if you had 90 minutes + 90 minutes?

You have to convert into hour format 90 = 1:30 = 130+130 = 260+40 = 300 or 3:00

What about 7 hours 30 minutes + 7 hours 00 minutes?
(730+700)+40=1470

You probably don't need a formula for that one. Just add 7 hours + 7 hours + 30 minutes. It's much easier that way.
But if I use this formula for something more complicated? Would this "a nice simple way to add hours and minutes together" amazingly always work?

Yes, need a different formula - does not seem to work for 1:10 and 1:10 either, ends up 2:60
