Perhaps it's wishful thinking on my part, but gmatclub activity for round 2 across all schools is a lot lower than in previous years. And from among my friends and acquaintances, pretty much everyone applied round 1. Not quite sure what's going on here, but other people have noticed the same thing.

There are a few things involved... we do have more applicants this year than in the past years and more visits but less discussion activity in part due to changes in how we track applicants status. But I would not tie GMAT Club to the universe. We may be growing but the overall applicants may be down. It is not an indicator.

Many of the previous year's posts have been "Admitted" or "got in" or "got interview" or smth like that.

P.S. Some schools are up and some are down this year, however, compared to the 2012 season and we are not sure if it is us or the schools.

I think it is hard to judge the activity at schools based on GMAT Club activity. Probably too early to tell. However, I would venture out to guess that the applicant volume should be leveling off since applications have been down last year (not in the top 10 but rather across the board)

Probably not. R2 app volume is up at certain schools. Just depends.
