I've decided to put a summary/highlight section at the beginning of my resume. However, I feel that most of the points I want to put in this section are already mentioned in a different section of my resume. Do you think this is acceptable or redundant and should be avoided?
Hi ZBarnett22,
I agree that it would be helpful and must contain a reference to something below, if you do include it.
However, I do not think that this approach is typical. I say this because most MBA resumes are trying to figure out how to succinctly present the information and keep to one-page (typical requirement).
My opinion - if you have the extra room, then include it; but don't reduce the 'white space' too much. And don't sacrifice adding more relevant information to all the sections below, just to get a highlight section though.
