Reporting GMAT/GRE Scores for R2 deadline (Am I too late?)

Question

I read on the McCombs website the following :

All applicants are required to take the GMAT or GRE. You must self-report your test scores in your application as well as have official score reports sent directly to UT Austin by the testing agency. GMAT and GRE test scores expire five years after the test date. The date that your official scores are sent to UT Austin by the testing agency should be no later than the application round deadline, as it can take up to 3-4 weeks for scores to be processed. After application submission, you will be able to monitor the status of your test scores.

Does that mean if I have to apply by 5th Jan ,am I too late in sending my GRE/GMAT because it might take 3-4 weeks for GRE ETS to process the request? 
Should I not apply to any school if I have not reported my schools ?

No, you should be fine.

Do you know how you scored on either or both tests? You can self-report and have the official scores arrive after the deadline. The only real effective deadline is the date you took the exam. I am fairly share that so long as it is by the day of the application deadline, you can be considered for that round.

If you are terribly concerned about the timing of all this information, call the McCombs admissions office on Monday when they should be reopened following the holiday weekend. You can also email them now though they are likely inundated with other inquiries and may take time to return your note.

You should absolutely not take yourself out of the process over an administrative matter that seems sufficiently ambiguous.

Thanks for the reply ! I scored a paltry 322 GRE (was on 15th August earlier this year, had a retake yesterday but ProctorU cancelled my exam as the internet was intermittent and I was asked to reschedule. Long story. )

I did email the adcom and I got an automatic reply and seems like they will be back in January !

I will proceed to send my scores to the schools

I agree. Send your scores and clarify after the fact. Definitely apply. All this administrative stuff can be sorted out later, particularly if you did everything before the deadline and the holdup is no fault of your own. I doubt they will penalize you.

I am surprised they are out of office this week. I get that it's a holiday and universities are effectively closed down but this is peak application week!
