Schools to include for direct score report

Question

With my recent mock tests averaging 720, aged 36, which schools do I stand best chance of getting admitted to in Canada?
I know that age is a factor in full time MBA admission.
Please your frank advise is highly needed.

Any professional (or others) on this forum, will tell you that you need to provide more information on your background beyond just age and GMAT score. Yes, 36 is a hurdle, but it's not impossible especially if you have an interesting profile. Have you been working for 15 or so years? Do you have some military service? Any interesting life stories?

Thanks for your reply.
I've been working for 9 yrs. Changed jobs. Tv Media(Master Control Operator), to Commercial Banking(Business Development), and now Aviation (Airport Management). No military service. Interesting life stories? I'd say really perculiar. But would admission team consider it interesting and why? I'm not very adept at deciphering what constitutes an interesting life story for the school's admission team.
 Also I have great success stories which didn't make my account balance bigger in any way bcos they weren't meant to. Does that constitute?

Thanks for writing in.

Age will be an issue for you at most Canadian schools as they are more inclined towards younger candidates. Having said that, if Canada is the only geography you are targetting, you could consider some of the 1-year programs or schools such as John Molson which are slightly more open to candidates with higher years of experience.

Of course, a lot will also depend on your overall profile and final score but broadly these are schools you may target. If you wish you could also seek a profile evaluation by writing to the schools in advance.

Canada is my top target but I'm throwing in one school in the USA just in case Canada fails totally. I've no doubt at all the range my GMAT score is going to be in. 
Thanks for JohnMolson suggestion. I just checked it out and contacted their admission teams as well as registered for their next information sessions.

You're welcome. We would definitely recommend that you add more than just one school in the USA. With the GMAT score you are targetting, you will have some fine US options.

Given your background, you really should consider EMBA if you want to go to a school in the US. If you look at the average ages of each class, you really are significantly older than most people. While you have a fascinating background, I'm not sure the AdCom at the Top 50 schools are going to see your background as appropriate for the full-time MBA.

Again, it's not impossible (there are a handful of examples where you see someone 35+), but you should definitely attend a few information sessions of schools on your list and try to get an honest answer from the AdComs if they would even consider you. You really don't want to go through this entire process without knowing that ahead of time or you could be sorely disappointed.

Have you considered the EMBA? Would you be able to work in the US/CAN while obtaining your degree?
