Hello,
I am currently 25 y/o and have been putting off the pursuing a MBA in finance as I have had no motivation in studying.
Until recently, I felt that I need to obtain more work experience (currently, only have 3 years experience in residential mortgage servicing) and so I put off the GMAT and any inkling of studying for anything!
I realize now that might have been a stupid decision and feel that I need to pursue something more interesting.... Listening to all these distressed borrowers can take a toll on you.
I've been reading the forums for quite awhile and reading success stories in obtaining great GMAT scores and I wish to obtain the same. I know there are many guides, tips and advice on studying for the GMAT for beginners but I was wondering the following:
1. Should I go for a MBA degree with only 3 years experience or should I climb the corporate ladder a bit more? I feel that many people that pursue the MBA are mature and knowledgeable in their respective fields... Even some of my friends are very knowledgeable in the markets... while I am only knowledgeable in the residential mortgages...
2. I obtained my undergraduate degree in economics with a 3.1 gpa, what are my chances of getting into a mid-tier business school?
3. I feel very lost when it comes to a career track and the MBA... what are my chances of getting into a different area of finance leaving from the residential mortgage servicing world? where can I go once I obtain a MBA?
