Hey there,

Well first off, GOOD LUCK!! We're rooting for you to rock it. I'm glad you found the feedback helpful. I was trying to be as honest as possible and I'm glad you appreciate that.

So what you have to understand is while not being from an IIT or NIT may close a few doors in the short term, that doesn't mean you can't get a great job and do great things. However, getting a less than ideal MBA now will have lifelong repercussions. I definitely understand you want some experience on the management side but, even though you're a technical student now, that doesn't mean you have technical experience either.

Good luck and remember, as you go forward, every step needs to make sense for you! Don't worry about backing into some MBA application formula. Try to learn and grow as much as possible. The rest, in time, will come!

Hi again,
One last question. Would you suggest I work in IT field or Management Field ? Which would give weight to my profile if I were to apply for MBA in 3 years ?

Thanks and Regards,
Amalan Inian.

Hi Amalan,

I'll provide a directional ranking. IT < IT Management < Management. I doubt you'll be able to go straight into Management but the more business / management experience you get, the better!
