I would like to know if B-Schools do provide funding, and what are the options which are available. The more I try to find out, am hearing that funding from B-Schools in minimal, and hardly anyone gets it except to a few merit students. Can you please let me know if this is correct.

Sushama,
Well for funding there are two options. 1. Scholarships 2. Loans. Scholarships go anywhere from 1 to 100% of the tuition and yes, are harder to get (and merit-based). Loans almost everyone takes in order to pay for their studies.

Hope this helps,
Best,
Jon

Sushuma,

Another thing to add there, which will apply to you if you are an international, is that most US b-schools (or rather the lender agency) require a co-signer (resident American) if you are taking a loan. It can be a challenge for internationals to find a co-signer if you do not have close relatives/ friends who can sign the dotted line.

But let this not dissuade you from applying in the first place. Hope for the best result and that you are able to secure a hefty scholarship.
