Hi:
So I took GMAT for the first time, and I only got 590 (Q45/V26). I am originally from China, but I went to the University of Minnesota for my undergrad, I got a BS degree and my GPA is 3.57.
Working experience:I am currently working full-time in NYC, and by the time when I plan to start my graduate school(fall 2015), I will have one year post-baccalaureate working experience for sure.
Besides, I did three internships in three countries during all my summer breaks while I was in college.
I had a full-time paid internship in the U.S.(summer 2013)
+ a part-time internship in London(gained credits, summer 2012)
+ a part-time internship in China (not paid, summer 2011).
Through the 4-year college, I also worked three other different part-time jobs(paid) for the university and also for a large retailer. Therefore, even though they are not professional jobs, do they still count as working experiences?
Special Activities:I was the Vice President for a national honored fraternity for a year.
I was the social committee coordinator for my sorority.
I also participate some other school organizations and activities.
Besides, because I was in two Greek organizations, so I had some volunteer experiences as well.
Schools I target:
I really want to stay in NYC, so I don't want to consider other areas. Also I think my working experience is not strong enough to get a MBA degree, so I want to apply for MS in Marketing.
I target:
1.CUNY-Baruch College
2.NYU-SCPS
3.Pace University
4. Fordham University(This one is a little bit out of my GMAT range, so I am not sure if I should still try to apply)
---------
Do I have any chances with these schools' MS programs? I know maybe I should retake the GMAT, but I really don't have a lot of time to study (my current job is crazy), and I feel this is my level, I don't think my grades will improve dramatically, and I am worried about getting a worse grade on the second time...So I just want to know if I can use GMAT 590 to apply these schools with my background? or I'd better just take the GMAT again? Is GMAT my only disadvantage that could influence my application?
