Hi there,
I’m a 29 years old French Canadian that hope to become an MBA candidate in fall 2015. I visited the LBS in September and met with a recruter. The feedback I got from him was that I might lack of experience for an MBA and have too much for a MiM. I would like to have guidance / a second opinion before I embark in the applications journey. I am mainly targeting European schools (ESMT - European School of Management and Technology, Mannheim Business School, Cranfield School of Management, Imperial College Business School, and University of Bath School of Management).
So here goes my profile:
I am a Bioresource Engineering graduate from McGill University (GPA 3.5).
I did one year exchange in Civil at Bristol University - Mobility Award
I was awarded 3rd place in a design competition organized by the Canadian Green Building Coincil
I did a certificate in Project Management at HEC Montreal (GPA 3.7)
I’ve worked 15 months as an Assistant Site Manager on an Industrial site in Alberta - manpower peaked at 140. I use to do rotations of 14 or 21 /7, working 77hrs a week. Worked a short period, but banked in a lot of hours.
I’ve worked as an environment professional in an engineer firm for 5 months. At the same time, I’ve worked as an auditor for the Hazardous Waste Department of McGill University for 8 months.
I have worked, travelled and studied in over 30 countries. I am fluent in French and English and am moving to Berlin in December in order to learn German.
I am currently studying for my GMAT and am planning on taking the test in February.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need additional information.
Best regards,
Elizabeth
