Hii Shan.
Whenever you see key word such as less or more, think about the comparison.
Here the logic of the sentence is "many members of the orchestra are less apt before performing a world piece THAN before performing a classic piece.
The comparison made has to be parallel and logical.
The issue with C is neither the comparison is parallel not logical.
I mean to say, how can the members of the orchestra be less apt before doing something THAN a classic piece.
Hope that helps.
