"the same decade that Gottfried Leibniz published his work on differential and integral calculus" is a "noun + noun modifier" modifying 1680s

small doubt if we choose C over B then we will be replacing Gottfried Leibniz's with Gottfried Leibniz . Doesn't this give ambiguity to the pronoun he in the original sentence … B is out just because of Passive Construction but can this give pronoun ambiguity also ..what do u think ?

Evidence suggests that Isaac Newton, although he published his work on fluxional calculus in the 1680s, the same decade as Gottfried Leibniz's work on differential and integral calculus were published, had made his discoveries a decade earlier than Leibniz had.

the same decade as Gottfried Leibniz's work on differential and integral calculus were published
the same decade as Gottfried Leibniz's work on differential and integral calculus was published
the same decade that Gottfried Leibniz published his work on differential and integral calculus
the same decade that Gottfried Leibniz had published his work on differential and integral calculus
the same decade as Gottried Leibniz's published work on differential and integral calculus

Include your reasoning while responding

Slash and burn this. "Newton published his work the same decade that Leibniz published his work" perfectly parallel and so option C

in Original sentence "He" refers to Newton. there is no pronoun ambiguity if we choose C.

in option B, AS role is not clear. on this basis also, Option B can be eliminated.

Option C is changing meaning right?.
In the question it is given that work is published but option c implies that gordon published the work
