The items of the parallel list X,Y, and Z must be parallel.
Because there are 3 items, they must be followed by a plural verb.
Here
X - A 10% inflation
Y - 8% wage hike
Z - higher competition
Only Option C corrects these errors and is our correct answer!

Can someone tell me, why Option E is wrong?
In this parallelism, "Heightening competition" is similar to "increasing competition", which is a proper Object.
"Heightening" acts as an adjective and i think there is no error with this usage.
