Like establishes a comparison.

Unprecedented growth has to be compared with a comparable thing. From the options only plausible options are C and D. C has an error- 'caused' and 'due to' together are wrong.

Hence D.

This is a case of comparison. Unprecedented growth has to be compared with the tech growth . Options A,B and E lack comparisons. Option C contains "both" and "as well as", such usage is wrong. Hence option D is correct.
