I am confused in the usage of the pronoun "it" in Option B, as the sentence says "it changes the Earth's..."
it may refer to the core or iron.
Actually, "it" should present the result of iron in the core moving significantly.

Though your point is valid, option B is acceptable. By virtue of parelleism "it" refers to "iron" (If there are more than one possible antecedents for a pronoun  subject , the pronoun subject refers to a noun  subject  (of another clause in the sentence) rather than a noun which is not a subject).

Also, it makes sense to say that the iron changes the magnetic field (because it moved).

Referring to your comment ""it" should present the result of iron in the core moving significantly":

"It" cannot refer to the "result". The result IS the change in the magnetic field. It does not make sense to say that the result of the movement (i.e. the the change in magnetic filed) changes to the magnetic field.
