Chose A, and I, unfortunately, cannot agree with OA in this case. Below is my back-up for the answer choice.
"None" stands for N in the "SANAM" acronym, which is the acronym that behaves itself - in terms of subject/verb agreement - differently based on what is the quantity of the adjacent noun.
Apparently, in this example "none" refers to "numbers", not a single version of the noun. Hence, here the whole "none..." expression should be followed by a plural verb. Option E clearly contains the implied mistake of singularity.
Options B, C and D are easily discarded due to the presence of other issues with these sentences.
Clearly, A is the only remaining contender.
Correct me if I am wrong.
