(E) is the answer IMO

A) Robert Louis Stevenson, when he wrote Treasure Island, had no idea of the huge influence it will have on popular culture.

"When" refers to time not logical to place a modifier next to noun which is a person -Eliminate
"It" may refer to "Treasure Island"
Will is not a right form of verb while looking into the future from past- Would is appropriate

B) Treasure island with no idea ?? - Illogical -eliminate

C) Meaning changed

D) Meaning changed and meaning that this sentence presents is illogical

E) Correct

IMO E

A) Robert Louis Stevenson, when he wrote Treasure Island, had no idea of the huge influence it will have on popular culture.

B) With no idea of the huge influence it would have on popular culture, Treasure Island was written by Robert Louis Stevenson .

C) Having a surprisingly huge influence on popular culture, Robert Louis Stevenson wrote Treasure Island.

D) Treasure Island, when written by Robert Louis Stevenson, had no idea it would have such a huge influence on popular culture

E) When Robert Louis Stevenson wrote Treasure Island, he had no idea of the huge influence it would have on popular culture.

Reasoning
1. Use of had and will... makes the verb wrong.
Something else feels wrong about A but I can't put my finger to it exactly. :?
2. B, C and D changes the meaning of the given statement.
C- RLS had a huge influence on pop culture instead of Treasure Island
D- Treasure Island had no idea....huge influence.

E gets everything right.
