young only for a very brief time after they hatch...so similar conclusion for dinosaur's

Some paleontologists believe that certain species of
dinosaurs guarded their young in protective nests long
after the young hatched. As evidence, they cite the
discovery of fossilized hadrosaur babies and
adolescents in carefully designed nests. But similar
nests for hatchlings and adolescents are constructed by
modem crocodiles, even though crocodiles guard their
young only for a very brief time after they hatch.
Hence, ___ .

Which one of the following most logically completes
the argument?

(A) paleontologists who believe that hadrosaurs
guarded their young long after the young
hatched have no evidence to support this belief
(B) we will never be able to know the extent to
which hadrosaurs guarded their young
(C) hadrosaurs guarded their young for at most very
brief periods after hatching
(D) it is unclear whether what we learn about
hadrosaurs from their fossilized remains tells
us anything about other dinosaurs
(E) the construction of nests for hatchlings and
adolescents is not strong evidence for the
paleontologists' belief

Focus on the premises. Some paleontologists conclude that hadrosaurs guarded their young in their nests for a long time because they found fossils of young hadrosaurs in carefully designed nests. However, the similar nests are used for young crocodiles, but the modern crocs does not guard their young for long.

Since this is the main point question, we need an answer choice that is almost 100% proven by the facts of the stimulus!

(A) Statement not supported by facts and is too extreme as it mentions 'no evidence...'. They haven't mentioned anything as such. INCORRECT
(B) Statement is too extreme. What does 'never be able to know' mean? It's nowhere mentioned that any proof or related information cannot be found in future. INCORRECT
(C) Pretty attractive option but it is incorrect. It seems from the passage that both crocs and hadro are same but look carefully at the passage. Look at the trigger word 'BUT' before introducing the info about crocs-from which we can deduce that crcs and hadros are not similar in every other way! Because there are two possibilities: Either Hadros guarded their eggs just like crocs for a brief period of time, or Hadros could've guarded their eggs for a pretty long of time. Anything can happen. INCORRECT
(D) Another tempting option but a creepy one. How can the paleontologists find about other dinosaurs when the passage clearly mentions about general info about hadrosaurs like nest, egg etc.? INCORRECT
(E) Perfect option with proper fact and evidence to support. Here's why. In the passage, the author introduces some findings about hadros and then brings in an example of crocs from which we can deduce the fact that there is no 100% similarity between hadros and crocs. So we can conclude that all the claims brought up by paleontologists don't have proper evidence to support. CORRECT
