Hello guys! Since its been a while since the question is posted, and its stone cold, let's spice it up a bit! The passage expects us to adhere to the last line "After all, whatever the difference of heritage and habitat, as organisms animals have fundamentally similar needs and so __" before the passage ends. The passage is supposed to be concluded on a note that inspite of the differences in the habitat and heritage, the needs are similar which is important. So, we need to find an answer choice which registers this fact. Let's chalk out options to get our match! Eliminate Option A , it is irrelevant and out of context. Option B seems fine as of now, so lets keep it. Option C doesn't sound that bad, so we can come back here later. Eliminate Option D , the passage does not talk anything about having different biological needs or something close to it. So drop this as well. Eliminate Option E , it is definitely out of context and doesn't make any sense at all. In Option B and C, Option C is not apt with our match, it says that developing adaptations will allow them to satisfy the needs. It is not on point. So, drop this as well. Option B seems fine to me, and expresses the right meaning here by evolving similar adaptations which will enable them to satisfy their needs. Official Answer:- Option B Thank you! Answering to your question about how relevant LSAT CRs are for the GMAT.

After consultation with a few professors, they told me that LSAT CRs  can  be slightly complex at times or the language might matter. 
But IMO, as long as it helps you to grow and understand the right essence of understanding the question. That's all that matters!

I was stuck between B and C like anyone.
The difference between them is not much had someone read them independently. Two I can notice are 'similar adaptations' and 'develop adaptations' and 'enabling' and 'allowing'. I chose C without giving much heed to SC aspect.
I might be picking up nitty gritty but that's it. So, here i can only think of, using SC skills, 'enabling' as more suitable than 'allowing'. And similarly 'adaptations' can't be 'developed' rather 'evolved'. However, in the thick of moment one can't be so specific - may be that is what is required.
