Ramona: One of the primary values of a university education is the intellectual growth that results from exposure to a wide range of ideas. Too many students miss this because they choose technical majors only to improve their chances on the job market. Recent pressures to graduate as quickly as possible only make matters worse.
Martin: But we have to be realistic. My brother graduated last year as an English major, but he’s working as a waiter. Anyway, you are forgetting that even students in technical majors are required to take some liberal arts classes.

Ramona clearly agrees with this statement.
Martin also (imo) agrees with this. He says - "Anyway, you are forgetting that EVEN students in technical majors are required to take some liberal arts classes."
He says EVEN students in tech majors are required to take some arts classes. I guess he implies not every course does that.

Ramona argues that value of University education lies in intellectual growth which comes from wide range of ideas, which he assumes does not come from technical education.
Martin agrees that intellectual growth is importat but realism dictates that jobs are in technical field. He also argues that some liberal arts is also taught in technical schools.
