Can any one guide me W.R.T steps involved ? Need help
\(% Change = \frac{Bigger-Smaller}{Base}*100\)
1. If x>y, x is what % greater than y.
y = base; because we are trying to find "what % greater than
y"
\(%Increase = \frac{x-y}{y}*100\)
2. If x>y; y is what percent less than x;
x = base; because we are trying to find "what % smaller than
x"
\(%Decrease = \frac{x-y}{x}*100\)

Coming to the question:
a= 9/11 b, then b is what percent less than (a+b)
\(Base=a+b\)
\(Bigger=a+b\)
\(Smaller=b\)
\(%Decrease = \frac{Bigger-Smaller}{Base}*100\)
\(%Decrease = \frac{a+b-b}{a+b}*100\)
\(%Decrease = \frac{a}{a+b}*100\)
\(a= \frac{9}{11} b\)
\(\frac{a}{b}=\frac{9}{11}\)
\(\frac{a}{a+b}=\frac{9}{9+11}=\frac{9}{20}\)
\(%Decrease = \frac{a}{a+b}*100 = \frac{9}{20}*100=45\)
