If the measures of the angle in a triangle are in the ratio of 1:2:3, what is the ratio of the smallest side of the triangle to the largest side?

A. 1:2
B. 1:3
C. 1:5
D. 2:3
E. 2:5

We can determine the 3 angles:

x + 2x + 3x = 180

6x = 180

x = 30

So the angles are 30, 60, 90, thus the ratio of sides are:

x : x√3 : 2x

So the ratio of smallest : largest = x : 2x = 1 : 2

Answer: A
