Area of Garden = 12*10 = 120

Area of Walkway = Area of bigger rectangle - Area of Garden = 20*18 - 12 * 10 = 10(36-12) = 240

Now our question is The area of the walkway is what percent of the area of the garden?

240 = X / 100 * 120

so X = 200

Hence E. 200% is the correct Answer

Area of garden = 12 * 10 = 120 sq.feet
Final length of walkaway including length of garden = 4 + 12 + 4 = 20 feet ( 4 on either side of garden )
Final width of walkaway including width of garden = 4 + 10 + 4 = 18 feet ( 4 on either side of garden )
total area = 20 * 18 = 360 sq.feet
Area of only walkaway = 360 - 120 = 240 sq.feet
area of walkaway is clearly 200 % of area of garden
answer - E
