The total length of the walkway is 12 + 4 + 4 = 20 feet and the total width of the walkway 10 + 4 + 4 = 18 feet , so the total area of the garden plus walkaway is 20*18 = 360 square feet.
The area of the walkaway alone is (total) - (garden) = 360 - 120 = 240 square feet.
Therefore, the are of the walkway (240 square feet) is 200% of the area of the garden (120 square feet).
Answer: E.

The area of walkway = Area of rectangle ABCD - Area of rectangular garden EFGH
= (24*18) - (12 *10) = 240.
Walkway is what % of area of garden ?
(Area of walkway/ Area of garden) * 100 =( 240/120) * 100 = 200%
Answer: 200%
