Hi All,
This question is just about converting math from one 'format' to another. The GMAT will ask you to do this on a handful of questions (usually involving 'unit conversions' - converting minutes to seconds, for example or in ratio questions - converting fractions to decimals or percents). Certain questions won't require this knowledge, BUT will be based on a shortcut that you can take advantage of IF you have your fraction-to-decimal conversions memorized. This is all meant to say that knowing what each of the fractions from 1/2 to 1/11 are as decimals can help you to answer a few questions faster on Test Day and will be essential to answering a couple of others. Anyone with a pacing issue in the Quant section could benefit quite a bit from having that knowledge.
