The answer choices range from 100 to 1000, so let's start somewhere in the middle.
How about 600
600² = 360,000, which means \(\sqrt{360,00} = 600\)
We want \(\sqrt{530,493}\), so let's try a value that's GREATER than 600
How about 800
800² = 640,000, which means \(\sqrt{640,00} = 800\)
Since \(\sqrt{530,493}\) is BETWEEN \(\sqrt{360,00}\) and \(\sqrt{640,00}\), we know that the correct answer must be BETWEEN 600 and 800
Answer: C
