What is the quickest way to solve this? I guess rounding is one method. Are there any other methods?

Price when all seats are filled = 16000 + 2000 = 18000

100 seats are unsold --> Loss due to unfilled seats = 20 + 2*80 = 180

Revenue = 18000 - 180 = 17820

The fastest way to solve it, is to ignore at first the fact that 100 were not sold. so 20% of 10,000 = 2000 remaining 8000 sold for 2 dollar = 16000 16,000+2000 = 18,000 (now since -100 tickets) from answer options one can see that the clossest number should be just a bit smaller than 18000 Hence B

total seats - 100 seats were sold, i.e. 10,000 - 100 seats were sold (9900 were sold and 100 remains unsold)

Think of it this way - tickets for ALL except a 100 seats were sold, so 100 seats remain unsold.
