let the total no of campers be 100
total amount = (25*120)+(35*80)+(40*65) = 3000+2800+2600= $8400
required percentage = (28/84)*100 = 400/12 = 100/3 =33.33%

Although the method will be same but converting % into fraction will ease the calculation part..

25% means 25/100 = 1/4, 35% means 35/100 = 7/20, and 40 % would mean 40/100 = 2/5..

so Total =\(\frac{1}{4} *120 + \frac{7}{20}* 80 + \frac{2}{5} *65 = 30 + 28 + 26 = 28 + 56\) or 28*3...
from 80$ we get 7/20 * 80 = 28...
ans =\(\frac{28}{28*3}= \frac{1}{3}\)or 33.33%

we will solve this problem by picking smart numbers
Consider the total number of campers to be 100
25% campers paid $120 each which means they paid a total of 25*120 = $3000
35% campers paid $80 each which means they paid a total of 35*80 = $2800
remaining 40% campers paid $65 each which means they paid a total of 40*65 = $2600
we are asked what percentage of the total amount paid came from the campers who paid $80
\(\frac{2800}{8400}\) * 100 = 33 \(\frac{1}{3}\) %

correct answer - D
