In the figure above, if PQ is a line segment and PO = OQ, what are the coordinates of Q?

(A) (s, r)
(B) (s, –r)
(C) (–s, –r)
(D) (–r, s)
(E) (–r, –s)

Hi..

Ofcourse 3rd quadrant means that BOTH will be NEGATIVE..
So ans will be C or E..

Now draw a perpendicular on y axis from both P and Q..
Both triangles thus formed will be similar as all three angles are equal and PO =OQ
So the perpendicular drawn will be equal.... If it is s in 1st quadrant, it will be -s in III quadrant..
So -r,-s
E
