A. 6/5

B. 2

C. 12/5

D. 3

E. 4

Given:
1. \(\frac{3}{5}\) or 60% of the work is completed in 6 hours.

If 60% of the job is completed in 6 hours and rate of work remains constant, then 100% of the job will be completed in 10 hours i.e in another 4 hours.

A. 6/5

B. 2

C. 12/5

D. 3

E. 4

we are asked to find out the no. of hours to complete the remaining work.
If 3/5 of a job is done Remaining job = 1-(3/5)
=2/5...........Remaining portion of the work.

It is given in the question that it takes 6 hours to complete the 3/5 of job
So we can form an equation: (3/5)*x=6.....
x= 10 hours.

so entire job needs 10 hours. So, (2/5)*10 needs 4 hours.

Thus the correct answer is E.

Known Information:
Lauren completed 3/5 of job in 6 hours i.e 60% of job completed in 6 hours.

Critical information: Work rate is constant.

So if 60% of job is completed in 6 hours, 100 of the job will be completed in 10 hours.

Remaining hours needed to complete job = Total - completed = 10-6 = 4 Hours

Ans: E
