Minutes hand completes one rotation of clock in 60 minutes. Therefore, in one minute, it will swipe 360/60= 6 Deg.

Hours hand completes one rotation of clock in 12hours (720 minutes). Therefore, in one minute, it will swipe 360/720= 0.5 Deg.

So, resultant change in angle will be 6-0.5 = 5.5 degree.

What is the difference in the degree measures of the angles formed by the hour hand and the minute hand of a clock at 12:35 and 12:36?

A) 1°

B) 5°

C) 5.5°

D) 6°

E) 30°

[(36-36/12)-(35-35/12)]*6°=5.5°

Asked: What is the difference in the degree measures of the angles formed by the hour hand and the minute hand of a clock at 12:35 and 12:36?

1 minute = 1 hour / 60 = 360 / 60 = 6 degree
Difference in minute hand = 6 degrees

1 minute = 1 hour / 60 = (360/12) / 60 degrees = .5 degree
Difference in hour hand = .5 degrees

Total difference in angles formed by minute hand and hour hand = 6 - .5 = 5.5 degrees
