arithmetic mean of 6 numbers is 24. This means that sum of these 6 no.s is 144 . we are given that sum of 4 no.s is 96, hence the sumo other 2 numbers is 144-96= 48 and their avg is 24

Given: The average (arithmetic mean) of six numbers is 24. The sum of four of these numbers is 96.
Asked: What is the average of the other 2 numbers?
\(x_1+x_2+x_3+x_4+x_5+x_6=24*6=144\)
\(x_1+x_2+x_3+x_4=96\)
\(x_5+x_6= 144-96 = 48\)
Average of other 2 numbers = \(\frac{x_5+x_6}{2} = 24\)
