Ana and Saph sold their doughnut shop for \($15,000\). They gave most of the proceeds to charity, but Ana kept \(6.66\%\) of the sale price, and Saph kept \($450\) more than three times the amount that Ana kept. Which of the following is closest to the amount that was given to charity?
A. \($3,500\)
B. \($4,000\)

Ana kept \(6.66\%\) of the sale price, so she kept \(15,000*6.66*\frac{1}{100} \approx {15,000*6\frac{2}{3}*\frac{1}{100}}=$1,000\).
Saph kept \($450\) more than three times the amount that Ana kept, so he kept \(3*1,000+450=$3,450\).
The amount that was given to charity is therefore \(15,000-(1,000+3,450)=$10,550\).
