Continue the straight line BE from point E to the CD line, let's say to the point F. Then according to the theorems about parallel lines, the angle EFD is equal to the angle ABE=40. According to interior and exterior angles rule, x is equal to 180- angle FED=Sum of EFD+FED=30+40=70 C)
