A person was to multiply a fraction by 6/7. Instead, he divided and got an answer which exceeds the correct answer by 1/7. The correct answer is:

let us say the the fraction is a
\(\frac{7a}{6}-\frac{6a}{7 }= \frac{1}{7 }\\
\)
a=\(\frac{6}{13 }\)
Correct answer is: \(\frac{6}{13}*\frac{6}{7}\) = \(\frac{36}{91}\)
Option (A) is correct IMO

Hi sumitkrocks:
The fraction is 6/13 but the correct answer should be 6/13*6/7 = 36/91. Let me know, if I'm missing something
