Find LCM of the denominators and then find equivalent fractions.
LCM(3,8,20,)=120
\(\frac{2}{3}=\frac{80}{120}, \frac{5}{8}=\frac{75}{120}, \frac{13}{20}=\frac{78}{120}\)
So answer is E.
II. Comparison by cross multiplying
\(\frac{2}{3} \ & \ \frac{5}{8}: \ \ 2*8:3*5=16:15\)
The numerator in the higher ratio is the fraction that is greater. So, 2/3>5/8.
\(\frac{2}{3} \ & \ \frac{13}{20}: \ \ 2*20:3*13=40:39\) => 2/3>13/20
\(\frac{13}{20} \ & \ \frac{5}{8}: \ \ 13*8:20*5=104:100\) 13/20>5/8
