Let's assume that the mixed juice concentrate costs $100 / unit

Day 1

Amount of mixed juice concentrate = 1

Amount of water = 3

Total Amount = 4

Selling price =\(\frac{ 160 }{ 4}\) = $40

Day 2

Amount of mixed juice concentrate = 1

Amount of water = 4

Total Amount = 5

Selling price = $40 * 5 = $200

Hence, the profit is 100%

Correct Option A . 100%

Day 1: Person mixed juice concentrate with freely available water in the ratio 1:3
= (juice 1 + water 3 = Mixture 4)
= Juice to Mixture ratio = (1/4)
= In 1000ml Juice is 25% and water is 75%

Day 1: The profit on his investment on juice concentrate was 60%
if CP of Mixture is $10, then selling price will be $16, with 60% profit
which makes juice price 25% CP $10 = $2.5 and
at Mixture SP of $16, juice price becomes $4
Profit of 60% as given in Q

Day 2: Person mixed the same in the ratio 1:4
= (juice 1 + water 4 = Mixture 5)
= Juice to Mixture ratio = (1/5)
= In 1000ml Juice is 25% and water is 75%

Day 2: *sold the drink at the same price as the first day.
SP of Mixture is $16 i.e Juice price is $4 - Fixed
we need to find ratio of juice CP @ 1000ml with ratio 1:5 i.e 20%
CP = $10,
Juice 20% in $10 = $2

[($4 - $2)/ $2]*100 = 100%
Day 2: Profit value on day 2? is 100%

Step to solve :
1. Find ratio of juice in Mixture for Day 1
2. Ratio of Mixture will give you juice ratio in CP
3. SP profit is given, gives you SP for next day
4. find ratio of juice in mixture for Day 2
5. Find CP of juice from SP from day 1
6. difference between Juice CP Day 1 to Day 2 by Day 1 will give you profit for Day 2

Let the cost of 1 unit of juice concentrate = ₹C.

Since water is free, all investment is only in the concentrate.

Day 1

Ratio of concentrate : water = 1 : 3

So, 1 unit concentrate produces:

1+3=4 units of drink1+3=4 \text{ units of drink}1+3=4 units of drink

Profit on concentrate investment = 60%

Revenue from 4 units=1.6C {Revenue from 4 units} = 1.6CRevenue from 4 units=1.6C

Therefore, selling price per unit of drink:

1.6C4=0.4C\frac{1.6C}{4}=0.4C41.6C​=0.4C
Day 2

Ratio of concentrate : water = 1 : 4

So, 1 unit concentrate produces:

1+4=5 units of drink1+4=5 \text{ units of drink}1+4=5 units of drink

The drink is sold at the same price per unit as on Day 1, i.e., 0.4C0.4C0.4C.

Hence, revenue from 5 units:

5×0.4C=2C5 \times 0.4C = 2C5×0.4C=2C

Profit:

2C−C=C2C - C = C2C−C=C

Profit percentage on investment:

CC×100=100%\frac{C}{C}\times 100 = 100\%CC​×100=100%
Answer
100%\boxed{100\%}100%​

The profit on the investment in juice concentrate on Day 2 was 100%.

Juice 1 L, Water 3L total 4L of juice mix sold at Rs. 100 per L. Revenue Rs. 400.

(Rev - CP of Juice) / CP of Juice (as water is free) = 60/100
(400 - CP)/CP = 3/5. solve it to find CP = 250.

Next Day. 1 L Juice and 4 L water. 5L. Rev = 500.
Profit = 250. 100%

i solved it as follows--->

juice: water -> 1:3 ( taking 100 L of the whole thing, 25l juice, 75 l water)

day 2 -> ( 20 l juice, 80 l water)

DAY 01-

now calculating CP for day 1

1l ---- C
25 L ---- 25 C

60 % profit --> 60/100*25 C + 25 C ---> 40 C - SP

DAY 02-

CP - 20 C
SP - 40 C( as the vendor is selling the drink at the same price as on day 01)

profit - 20 C

profit % ---> 20 C/20C * 100 = 100% --ANSWER
