After the first 0 the series 0.0975310975310..., 975310 repeats itself. The length of the string is "6". So, if we estimate the 43rd no. in this recurring series, we would get our 44th term in the sequence. Since, the string repeats in "sixes", 43rd digit would be the remainder of 43/6. That is "1". "9" is first digit. Hence, "9" is the 43rd and hence the 44th digit of the string. Option (E).

Solution:
- We are given a repeating decimal \(0.097531097531...\) in which the '097531' part seems to be repeating
- We see that the repeating part consists of 6 digits
- When we divide 44 by 6, the remainder is 2
- Therefore, the 44th digit to the right of the decimal point will be the 2nd digit of '097531' i.e., 9
Hence the right answer is Option E
