A ration shop had a stock of 200 packets of 1/2 Kg each premium sugar, and 300 packets of 1kg each regular sugar. The premium sugar is procured at Rs 30 per kg, while the regular sugar is procured at Rs 20 per kg. If the owner mixes the stock and sold them at the price of premium sugar what is the percentage profit of the shopkeeper?

200 packets of 1/2 Kg each premium sugar @Rs.30 per kg
300 packets of 1kg each (300 kg) regular sugar @Rs.20 per kg
No profit in selling premium sugar at it's cost price
Profit in selling regular sugar selling = (30-20)*300 = Rs.3000
Total Cost = 200*(1/2)*30 + 300*1*20 = 3000+6000 = 9000
Profit percentage = (3000/9000)*100 = 33.33
Answer: Option C

Total Premium sugar = 200 * 1/2kg = 100 kg
Total Price = 100 * Rs 30 = Rs 3000
Total Regular sugar = 300 * 1kg = 300 kg
Total Price = 300 * Rs 20 = Rs 6000
Total CP = 3000+ 6000 = Rs 9000
If he sells the total quantity at the price of the Premium sugar @30/kg
Total SP = Total quantity * Premium price
=> Total SP = (300 + 100) * 30 = Rs 12000
Profit % = (SP - CP)/CP = (12000 - 9000)/9000 = 33.33%

Total Price = 100 * Rs 30 = Rs 3000
Total Regular sugar = 300 * 1kg = 300 kg
Total Price = 300 * Rs 20 = Rs 6000
