We have functional relationship where \(\frac{f(x)}{10}=f(x-1)\) --> \(f(x)=f(x-1)*10\), so \(f(6)=f(5)*10\) and so on. So \(f(9)=f(5)*10^4\).
Answer: C.

Similarly if Richter scale reading goes from 6 to 7 it will be 10
and if Richter scale reading goes from 7 to 8 it will be 10
and if Richter scale reading goes from 8 to 9 it will be 10
so it will from 5 to 9 i.e 6,7,8,9 = 10*10*10*10 = 10^4
You only need to count it on your fingers no need to use pen i.e. 6,7,8,9 answer is 10^4
