How much ice cream is left in a certain tub?
(1) The ice cream tub is currently 1/3 as full as it was this morning.
(2) If the amount currently in the ice cream tub were to triple, the ice cream tub would be as full as it was this morning.

Statement 1: The ice cream tub is currently 1/3 as full as it was this morning
We do not know about the level of the tub in the morning. Hence we cannot say how much ice cream is left
INSUFFICIENT
Statement 2: If the current amount is trippled, then the tub will be as full as it was in the morning.
Again we know nothing about the relation between the ice crease level in the morning and the capacity of the tub.

I too believe the answer to be E. If we don't know what the original level was then it doesn't matter that we're told by how much it decreased (which is what both statements essentially tell us). The original tub could have been half full, completely full, 15/16ths full etc. Thoughts?
