Stmt-1: The thousands digit of 10k is 7.
if a number is XXX which is when multiplied by 10 would become xxx0. but it is told that thousands is 7. then it means without the last zero aquired, 7 is indeed the hundreds digit.

Stmt-2: The hundreds digit of k+1 is 7.
if k is 699 then k+1 has 7 as hundreds digit.
if k is 700 then k+1 has 7 as hundreds digit.
Insufficient as k has different hundreds digit as 6 & 7.

Answer is A.
