Say total is x
Operating expenses are 63%of x or 0.63*x..
So we require to know x
Let's see what the statements tell us
1) total budget is $9 million.
The value of x is given directly..
So Ans is 0.63*9=$5.67 million
Sufficient
2) school spent $2.1 million on school aid..
So 24%of x =2.16...
Again x can be found ..
0.24x=2.16........x=216/24=9
So X is $9 million..
So 0.63x=0.63*9=$5.67 million
