A new students joins a class, which has average weight 40 kg. By what amount does the average age of the class change?
1) The class has 25 students
2) The weight of the student is 40 kg
Frm stmt 1:
Although it wont be sufficient but it will help us to find the total weight of 25 students in the class:
Total weight of class' 25 students'/ no of students= avg weight of class
Total weight of class '25 students'= 25*40 = 1000 kgs
Frm stmnt 2: we know the weight of new student 40 kgs which is same as avg. weight of the class ,,, adding same weight as avg. of the class will not change the class avg... so B is sufficient...

Immaterial of the number of students if you add a new student with weight same as the average weight of the class, the average will remain the same.
So statement 2 is sufficient.
IMO answer is B.
