Question is asking for circumference.
Stmt 1: diameter given, so, 2*pi*R or pi*Diameter can be calculated. Hence sufficient.
Stmt 2: Speed is given, but no other relevant parameter to calculate Diameter or circumference. Hence Insufficient.
Hence Option A

Target question: What is the length of the path travelled by P in one complete revolution around the circle?
REPHRASED target question: What is the CIRCUMFERENCE of the circle?
Aside: the video below has tips on rephrasing the target question
Statement 1: The diameter of the circle is 1.5 m
Circumference \(= (\pi)(diameter)\)
So we now know about the circumference \(= (\pi)(1.5)\)
Since we can answer the REPHRASED target question with certainty, statement 1 is SUFFICIENT
Statement 2: The particle P moves in a clockwise direction at 0.5 m/s
Knowing the speed of the particle doesn't help us determine the circumference of the circle.
Since we cannot answer the REPHRASED target question with certainty, statement 2 is NOT SUFFICIENT
Answer: A
