Statement 1) 2,4 is the only possibility but # can be either 2 or 4. INSUFFICIENT.

Statement 2) clearly INSUFFICIENT.

1) + 2) # is 2. Sufficient.

OPTION:  C

saurabhrampal  questions say specifically distinct + ve integer, hence only 2,4 or 4,2 are possible we cannot have 0,6 and answer as 6 ...

Had same question with whether or not 0 was a possibility. Question statement specifically says that #, @, & each represent a distinct, POSITIVE integer. Statement then further identifies & as even and then statement 1 says # and @ are also even.

This is tricky because you have to remember the initial question statement saying that all were positive integers. The rule for how the GMAT treats 0 is that 0 is considered an EVEN integer, but NOT a positive or negative integer. It is considered neither positive nor negative. But it is considered an even integer. So the only answer options were # = 2, @ = 4 or # = 4, @ = 2, but statement 2 identifies that # > @, so the answer is # = 4.
