Our statements talk about prime factors so the natural approach is to factorize our given data.
This is a Precise approach.
(1) 33 = 11*3 so p = 3 or p = 11.
Insufficient
(2) is clearly insufficient on its own.
Combined, p can still equal 3 or 11.
(E) is our answer.
