Hi,

from the first conditon, we can establish that
if a-> +ve then b-> +ve and vice versa, implying ab>0.
Then why isn't the answer A?

It does not convey that.
If a=1, b=1^3-1=0.. ab=0....so ab>0 is not true.
If a=2, b=2^3-2=6 and ab=12>0..true
Different answers. So not sufficient
