Let us check the statements..
(1) \(x^y*y=1215\)
Since we know x and y are positive integers, we should factorize 1215 to get to the answer.
\(1215=1^{1215}*1215=5*3^5=15*3^4=45*3^3=135*3^2=405*3^1=1215^1*1\)
Now, how many of these are in the form \(x^y*y\)? => \(1215=1^{1215}*1215=5*3^5=1215^1*1\)
So, x and y could be (1,1215); (1215,1) or (3,5), and xy could be 1215*1 =1*1215=1215 or 3*5=15.
(2) \(y>x\)
Nothing about x and y.
Combined..
In \(x^y*y=1^{1215}*1215=3^5*5\), y>x.
SO xy = 1215 or xy=15

Statement 1: \(x^y*y=1215\)
Case 1: x = 3 and y = 5
Case 2: x = 1215 and y = 1 i.e. 1215^{1}*1
Case 3: y = 1215 and x = 1 i.e. 1^{1215}*1215
NOT SUFFICIENT
Statement 2:\(y>x\)

y > x and \(x^y*y=1215\)
