I got into Baruch with a 650, 22 years old, no relevant work experience, and graudated with my Bachelor's early this year. If you can get a 640, I'd pretty sure you'll get in.

Hey, am I correct that binghamton is not aacsb accredited? specifically in accounting accreditation.

Where Albany and Baruch are?

Does this matter a lot? I was thinking of applying to albany in the near future but saw that binghamton has a better placement rate?

I was told by the Admissions office that they rarely admit students right out of undergrad.

M GMAT score was 660, GPA 3.53, Accounting GPA 3.81, with a couple internships. Do you think I might have a decent shot even without full-time experience?

You probably received incorrect information. For MS Accounting programs, significant majority of the students have zero work experience. They created the MS Accounting degree to satisfy 150hr credit requirement for getting the CPA designation. Any school with MS Accounting program in addition to BS or BBA in Accounting program have to admit their own undergraduate students into their MS program. Therefore, you don't have to worry about work experience as long as you are applying to the MS program (not the MBA program)

That's exactly what I said to the admissions representative that I was emailing. He said that they do encourage most applicants to have full-time work experience, although some excellent students are admitted without work experience. Seems strange to me...
